ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP OR LINE OF AUTHORITY:

Directly responsible to Building Principal and Assistant Superintendent Student Services

 

QUALIFICATIONS:            

  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker certification preferred;
  • Experience with elementary age students preferred;
  • Certification in Non Violent Crisis Methodology/Safety Care beneficial;
  • Experience with social emotional and therapeutic environments;
  • Ability to develop and implement behavioral plans;
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention, strong parent communication skills, ability to conduct behavioral assessments/observations, and a strong desire to work with challenging students is required;
  • Strong Executive Functioning skills;
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers and other service providers within the district as well as outside therapists, medical professionals, and parents

POSITION:                      Licensed Social Worker - Elementary

     

REPORTS TO:               Building Principal(s), Assistant Superintendent of Student Services

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Case management for students, families, and outside agencies.
  • Treatment planning that includes evidence-based data collection and analysis.
  • In-class social pragmatic and self-regulation skill development groups for students.
  • Individual and/or small group therapy.
  • Consultation to teaching staff.
  • Participation in Team meetings and outside service provider meetings as needed.
  • In-class behavior management support as needed.
  • Crisis intervention, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker certification preferred;
